Tormek T-4 Sharpening System - Bushcraft Edition

The Bushcraft edition of the T-4 is perfect for outdoor enthusiasts needing to sharpen and maintain the edges of knives and axes and other essential accessories. To get you started straight away it comes with the relevant jigs for sharpening knives, axes and other essential accessories.

The T-4 has a 200mm diameter grinding wheel that rotates vertically in a water bath. This continuously lubricates and cools the tools edge ensuring it does not lose its temper. The stone cuts quickly and freely. On the other end of the shaft is a leather-covered honing wheel. The application of a little honing compound will put a mirror-finish edge on a knife. With a sharp edge, your knife makes a cleaner, more precise cut with less effort. The T-4 uses a powerful, industrial AC motor with a corrosion resistant, stainless steel shaft to support the wheels.

Although, the T-4 gives great results used freehand, for controlled accuracy, Tormek produce a range of sharpening jigs to fit onto the adjustable Universal Support. The Bushcraft edition T-4 comes with an SP-650 Stone Grader, SVA-170 Axe Jig, SVM-45 Knife Jig, WM-200 Angle Master, PA-70 Honing Compound, HB-10 Tormek Handbook, DVD, and with Tormeks 8 year warranty. Use the Stone Grader to change the grinding surface from a (220g) coarse cut to (1,000g) fine and back. The leather wheel offers the equivalent of 2,500-3,000g. The Angle Master is an adjustable gauge used to set the angle for grinding tools in conjunction with many of the optional jigs.
